But the true picture is not at all gloom and doom, since prophecy also offers an unprecedented opportunity for those who, understanding the “signs of the times,” are willing to believe and act upon what the Bible declares for our day. Using Scripture and up-to-date information, Dave draws the exciting conclusion, that, indeed, time is short. He then outlines a biblical response and reminds believers of the hope we have in Christ, using Scripture to instruct, encourage, warn, and strengthen us to “walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:15, 16).
